Varied and extensive background in IT doing development and technical training,
including:
- UNIX / qed in the mid-70's (dad worked down the hall from Brian Kernighan; also, it was Gil Amelio who showed my dad the first CCD two days after proof-of-concept)
- C / Macro-11 starting in 1986
- Sybase (1988)
- Java / OOAD / Design Patterns / significant exposure to Smalltalk culture (1997)
- J2EE / EJB (1999)
- Xcode, Interface Builder, Objective-C, Cocoa, UIKit, Core Data, Address Book, Internationalization, SudzC, Reachability since Feb 2010
- Built iDefer, an iOS4 iPhone app available in the app store, as part of a two-person development team. Conceptualized idea, generated scenarios, designed UI using Balsamiq, developed, and tested.
- Contracted by Rain, a design agency, to expand an iPhone/iPad universal app for client. Successfully delivered to an impossible deadline.
- Contracting with AT&T and Accenture to develop/enhance iPhone/iPad cloud app AT&T Synaptic Storage.
